If you didn’t already know, there were rumors (stemming from a bleedingcool prank) circulating that one of the Batmobiles was stolen from the set in Detroit… this was Snyder’s response. Snyder’s twitter has included several other Star Wars references, including a photoshop of Cavill as a Jedi and a Batman figurine with a R2D2 as his sidekick. Abrams responded with C3PO as the Dark Knight and a Rebel signal in the night sky.
Although there’s no formal attachment between Snyder and Star Wars at this point, you may recall that Snyder was rumored to be courted for the franchise before Man of Steel and, obviously, still has an attachment to the movies.
