“The most rewarding mythological experience you can have is to see how it lives in your own psychological structure.”
“We have not even to risk the adventure alone for the heroes of all times have gone before us. . . . And where we had thought to be alone we shall be with all the world.”
Great episode, Doc! As always, I’m blown away by how deep you’re willing to dive into the material and keep coming back up with new treasures.
Thanks for listening and the kind words, Andy.
Hey Doc, any comments/thoughts on the recent announcement of Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League? Would appreciate of the top of your head commentary or whatever you might have. Keen to hear it.
You can check my posts here or twitter. Maybe I’ll release my recorded celebration as a Ramble Road, it’s a little sappy lol.
I’m happy, but am already looking forward.
I’ve got a lot of heartfelt things to say, which I think (tentatively) I’ll put into a podcast after the next Grail episode drops, but before the Grail finale.
As exciting as the announcement is and as long as the wait has been, these coming months will still be a marathon of sorts that can make all the difference.
Definitely celebrate today, rejoice, be grateful, savor this!
But having had to defend these films for the better part of a decade now… I know that now is the time to get ready to do that right so we can take the world by storm, just like they didn’t see this coming either!
You gather more people to understand, appreciate, and love these films as they are, you open up doors to all sorts of possibilities of where this can go!
We’ve only just begun!
